July 13, 2020 — DVXD, a socially-centered design studio based in Toronto, has added Nelson Leung as their newest Design Director and Sam Rodrigues as Studio Manager.

A seasoned Design Director, Nelson has led product design work for YouTube, MEC, Virgin Mobile, TELUS, Scotiabank, and Medium — where he helped create their groundbreaking composition tool.

As a senior member of industry-shaping design teams at Teehan+Lax, Huge and Connected, Nelson Leung brings deep expertise in product thinking, craft and delivery.

An active member in his community and youth mentor, the addition of Nelson furthers DVXD’s commitment to senior, socially-engaged design leadership to create products and brands for impact with influential partners.

With a background in design, startup, and community management, Sam Rodrigues will oversee all aspects of DVXD's studio — including a soon-to-be transformed collaboration space in Toronto and existing client relationships across the US, Canada, and Asia.

Sam leverages her art and design education from OCAD University to question the media’s influence on modern society and works with marginalized youth at CAMH and Youthdale Treatment Centres.

As the world adapts to new ways of working, Sam will help shape the way DVXD engages clients, teams, and the communities they collectively impact.
